Margo Russell - Numismatist Par Excellence

In 1972, Margo Russell was editor of Coin World Weekly Newspaper and under her direction Coin World ran several stories about the Lincoln Mystery Cent.

In Margo Russell’s illustrious career, she has accomplished many feats but most importantly she has earned a rock-solid and sterling reputation for integrity and vision in the field of Numismatics.

Russell became a part of The Lincoln Mystery Cent’s Legacy in 1972 when she saw a story in the Bethel Journal by Peggy Ross about a former barber who had sold a special penny to a guy from California for $25,000.

Immediately, Russell called Ross and found out how to contact Wilkins and then did her first story about the event.
